Oceana Beach Club Santa Monica – We had the pleasure of staying at the most perfect boutique hotel right across from the gorgeous beach in Santa Monica, away from the craze. It quickly felt like our home away from home. They take fantastic care of you and the restaurant has great bites to share with a big group like ours was. (Relax in front of their big, cozy fireplace with some good wine.)
Elyse Walker Pacific Palisades – For a special shopping experience away from the main strip, we love visiting Elyse Walker’s shop! She has such a fantastic eye for chic, cool finds you do not see elsewhere. It's so much fun to peruse!!
Oscar’s Cerveteca – There are so many great restaurants in LA but we let Elyse play host to us this time…This is Elyse Walker’s hidden gem that she was good enough to share with New York tourists like us! Located in Venice Beach, it's a neighborhood spot loved by all of the locals. Oscar’s serves amazing margaritas (made with guava) and in Elyse’s words, has the “best fish tacos in L.A.” which tells us everything we need to know!
Sunset Tower Hotel– We love coming here whenever in LA…No hotel in L.A. quite captures the look and vibe of real Hollywood glamour quite like Sunset Tower. Lounge poolside for yummy pre-dinner drinks, a gorgeous view and even better people-watching.
(Hint…you may even catch a glimpse of one of your favorite stars enjoying some r & r right next to you.)
