DonorsChoose
VB in Action
All quarter long, behind the scenes, Team VB has been layering on additional givebacks to DonorsChoose, in addition to our daily proceeds from every veronicabeard.com order. We gave each employee, both at VB HQ and throughout our stores nationwide, a gift card to make a donation to the DonorsChoose classroom project that personally resonated with him or her. It's important to us to engage in a deep and meaningful way with each charity—and this cause, in particular, is one close to our hearts: making a positive impact on the next generation.

"This is an incredible initiative and the process was super easy to navigate. OMG, and the teacher sent a note to say thank you, and described in more detail how the funds are going to be used. My heart is melting!"

"I donated to 'Helpful Headphones for Happy Students.' Ms. Marlow's goal is to have headphones available for students with disabilities and those learning English. It's so important to support students of all ability levels. The headphones allow for all students to participate in all activities. I felt strongly about donating to this classroom because when it comes to learning, nothing should be off limits for anyone!"

"I donated to Ms. Raleigh's classroom in Dallas, Texas, where nearly all of her students come from low-income and food-insecure households. Her request was 'Help me give my students healthy, filing snacks that will help them stay focused.' No one wants to learn on an empty stomach and I appreciated her emphasis on providing healthy snacks for her classroom."

"I donated to Mrs. Baumann's School Garden Fund in Southern California. I was inspired by my mom, who has spent many years helping teachers integrate school gardens into their day-to-day curriculum. In addition to learning about nutrition, growing and cooking food, Mrs. Baumann's students can utilize the 'living classroom' for many experiential, hands-on lessons and community-building opportunities.
