Oleta Off the Shoulder Dress + Sonia Kashuk Satin Luxe Lip Color in Classic Red
If you want to embrace the matchy-matchy look, the key is keeping the rest of your look soft and don’t worry about an exact shade match. Sonia's tip: Try pairing the color-matched pout with basic neutrals so the focus is purely on the lip.

If you want a cherry red with staying power for a night out, make sure this is in your clutch.
Everglade Peplum Jacket +
Bobbi Brown Art Stick in Sunset Orange
“Bobbi Brown’s Art Stick in Sunset Orange is favorite lipstick shade – it’s the perfect orange-red. I love pairing it with bronzed cheeks, a dewy, clean eye and long, defined lashes.” – VSB
South Beach Sleeveless Sweater + Tom Ford Lip Color Cherry Lush
Super creamy with just a hint of shimmer, this buildable red is meant for every day.
Orchid Upcollar Dickey Jacket + NARS Jungle Red
“I love experimenting with my lip color, from deep bordeaux reds to bright, poppy corals. When I’m going for a rich, classic red lip I grab NARS Jungle Red.” – VMB
Yadira Romper + Esteé Lauder Pure Color Envy Liquid Lip Potion in Lethal Red
A gloss-meets-stain hybrid that stays put and feels fresh.
Sonia’s Red Lipstick How To
1. Start by applying a thin layer of foundation to the lip line to smooth out wrinkles and fill in the lines creating the perfect base for application.
2. Line lips with a coordinating red liner, like my Lip Definer in True Red, to prevent feathering.
3. Use the same liner to fill in your lips completely, creating a matte base for the lipstick to grab on to.
4. Apply your lip color with a lip brush for more control and play with the intensity of the color until you achieve a shade you are comfortable with.
5. Keep the edges soft by using your finger or a tissue to blur the outer lip line.
