American Red Cross

#VBGIVESBACK Day

DEBUG: core/paragraph

Our #VBGivesBack partnership with the American Red Cross continues… On Thursday, March 5th, we celebrated a special #VBGivesBack Day at all our boutiques nationwide—with 10 percent of the day's total in-store sales benefitting the nonprofit.

We've waited till now for this blockbuster day because, in addition to being Women's History Month, March doubles as Red Cross Month. President Roosevelt first dedicated March to the cause—which was founded by pioneering nurse Clara Bartonback—in 1943 to recognize the organization's countless heroes who work tirelessly across the country and to encourage the public to join in and make a difference.

We've seen that care and kindness firsthand, in our interviews with Elisabeth Rohm, a longtime volunteer and our #VBGivesBack woman of the quarter, as well as our volunteer efforts in the two-part Operation We ♡ the U.S. Armed Forces. Fun fact: Our relationship with the Red Cross goes back even further—to when we fundraised to support those affected by the California wildfires in 2018.

Two years later, here we are—paying it forward even further, together. And we're not done either. See the recap of events from our #VBGivesBack Day below and if you weren't able to make it, we're still donating $10 for every online order to the Red Cross through the end of the month.

9to5chic's Anh Sundstrom: One of the most important things I want to teach my daughter is kindness and compassion—giving back is one way to spread kindness and compassion. It is itself an act of gratitude.

NEW YORK – UPPER EAST SIDE
Veronica Beard | 988 Madison Avenue

Host:
Veronica Miele Beard

What's the significance of giving back for you?
Giving back for me is natural and very maternal (without the kids). It’s caring on another level for something beyond ourselves. We are fortunate to be in a position to give back. A little thought, time and effort from all of us can make an enormous difference to others!

HOUSTON
Veronica Beard | 4444 Westheimer Road

Hosts:
Sandra Carson and Kris Torberson, Texas Gulf Coast Tiffany Circle Co-Chairs

What's the significance of giving back for you?

Sandra Carson: For me, giving back is an opportunity to be the change I want to see in the world, starting with my community. Specifically, I support the Red Cross because I am passionate about its mission to alleviate suffering for those in emergency situations.

Kris Torberson: As you go through life, you add to the legacy you leave behind through the ways you share your gifts and talents. I have a personal affinity to working with women of similar minds to give back in a way that only a group of diverse and talented women can, to support the overall mission of the American Red Cross.
