1. Merry Meryl

Not in the case of @tasteofstreep, where actor and graphic designer Samantha Raye combines the same two things—photos of food and Meryl Streep—over and over again to delightful effect. 2. Schitt, Bébé
If you love Schitt’s Creek, then you'll love this: a supercut of scenes that cover Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" from the show's digital producer, Calum Shanlin. Other great finds on his IG include hilarious takes on iconic sitcom openings—but featuring the Rose family—such as Parks and Recreation, How I Met Your Mother, and Arrested Development ("now the story of a wealthy family who lost everything…").

With many theaters still closed because of the pandemic, ballet companies are taking their performances to the screen—the New York City Ballet, for instance, is streaming the beloved classic here. Prefer a binge? Follow that up with a screening of the Netflix documentary, Dance Dreams: Hot Chocolate Nutcracker.

They're the savory version of that holiday classic, the gingerbread house, with cold cuts and cheese wedges in lieu of gum drops and candy canes. If we're being honest, we're not sure how we feel about this one, but, like a car crash we can't look away from, we… can't… look… away.

But there's one seasonal ditty we especially love—and it's because of the weird and wonderful star-power pairing: David Bowie meets Bing Crosby for "Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy." The year was 1977 and the occasion, the televised Bing Crosby’s Merrie Olde Christmas special.

“The doors opened and David walked in with his wife," recalled Crosby's daughter Mary of the event. "They were both wearing full-length mink coats, they have matching full makeup and their hair was bright red."
"It almost didn't happen," her brother Nathaniel added. "I think the producers told him to take the lipstick off and take the earring out."
