Paying it forward has always been core to our mission. Through VB Gives Back, we support organizations whose work makes a meaningful difference in the lives of others. But it's not every day that we get the opportunity to witness that impact firsthand—and play an active role in making it happen. This quarter, through our partnership with Operation Warm, we're doing just that. 

Over the next three months, Veronica Beard volunteers will visit schools across New York City to help distribute brand-new coats, shoes, and sports bras to children in need. But these events are about more than simply handing out clothing. Working alongside Operation Warm, our team will take on a variety of roles, from helping students find the right fit and select their favorite colors to leading games and team-building activities. Whether guiding a child through their own personal shopping experience or cheering them on during a group activity, it's an opportunity to engage with each child and help them feel seen, supported, and celebrated. 

Volunteering at these events and making an impact on children’s lives is an incredibly meaningful experience. “When volunteers help distribute essential items directly to children, they experience the power of connection, compassion, and community,” says Grace Sica, Executive Director of Operation Warm. “Together, we’re not only meeting a critical need, we’re creating moments of dignity, belonging, and hope that can have a lasting impact on both the children we serve and the volunteers who support them.”
