For the millions of children suffering from cleft conditions, the treatment they receive from the nonprofit doesn't just offer a brighter future; it also saves lives. The harsh reality is that infants living with a cleft lip or palate have nine times the risk of dying within the first year of life because of difficulty breathing and eating.
