The Veronicas Guide to Seoul

A city where tradition meets trendsetting style, Seoul is a vibrant blend of ancient palaces, Michelin-starred dining, and cutting-edge fashion. From strolling through historic Hanok Villages
to discovering K-beauty and visiting the Veronica Beard retail locations at Hyundai Department Stores, here’s what the Veronicas did during their recent trip...

  • This luxurious urban retreat is set against the stunning backdrop of Han River and Mount Namsan. The Veronicas enjoyed everything from the views to the unparalleled convenience of being minutes from downtown Seoul, Myeongdong, and Itaewon.

  • The Veronicas enjoyed a memorable meal at this impressive restaurant, which seamlessly blends the past, present, and future of Korean fine dining in a stunning and sophisticated setting.

  • Samsung's museum in Itaewon is definitely worth a visit. Consisting of two parts, one of which houses traditional Korean art and the other contemporary art, the museum itself is just as fascinating as the art works on display.

The Hanok Village is a must. Narrow, winding streets are dotted with hundreds of well-preserved hanoks, or Korean houses, many of which are now tea houses, restaurants, and cultural centers.

  • The Veronicas visited the Apgujeong flagship location to see the Veronica Beard store. “It was so inspiring to connect with the local community and seeing the fresh ways they style the brand.”

No trip to Seoul is complete without a visit to cosmetics, health and beauty product chain Olive Young. The Veronicas stocked up on the latest sheet masks to gift their friends and family.

  • The Veronicas leaned into soft colors like lilac, butter yellow, and sky blue, as well as plenty of signature sets. They also drew inspiration from the local women. “Korean women have such a strong sense of style—they are polished, sophisticated, and fashion-forward,” says Veronica Miele Beard.
