Veronica Miele Beard on Traveling the World with Mom

DEBUG: cgb/block-vb-two-column

My mom is my roadie forever. She has pushed us to explore different cultures and test our comfort zones. She has researched and planned some of the most incredible adventures of our lives! We’ve always brought the kids and she has passed on this passion for wanderlust to them. While we can't travel right now, I love revisiting these memories—and I’m excited to share them with you. — Veronica Miele Beard

Left: We had always wanted to see Tibet and it’s not easy to get there. We worked our way up to the 12,000-foot altitude of Lhasa. Finally, we arrived at the Potala Palace, a famous Buddhist monastery and the highest palace in the world! The skies opened up, the sun came out and it was glorious, one of the fondest memories in my life to experience such a sacred place with my mom and kids.

Above left: Here we are at Rambagh Palace in Jaipur, India. We had no idea this picture was taken until hours later when the young photographer tracked us down to show us! Above right: the glorious glaciers of Patagonia, Argentina. Below: En route to Machu Picchu, we stopped in Colca Canyon. Overlooking the canyon, we saw the great condors with wingspans up to 10.5 feet!
