How should I care for a wool sweater?
To keep your wool sweater looking its best season after season, we recommend gentle care. Always check the care label first, but in most cases, wool should be dry cleaned or hand washed in cold water with a mild detergent. Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric. Instead, gently press out excess water and lay the sweater flat on a clean towel to dry.
To help it keep its shape, avoid hanging your wool sweater. Fold it and store it in a cool, dry place. You can use a sweater comb or fabric shaver to gently remove any pilling that may occur over time.

How should a sweater fit a woman?
A great-fitting sweater should feel comfortable while offering a flattering shape. The right fit depends on the style, but in general, the shoulder seams should align with your shoulders, the sleeves should reach your wrists without bunching, and the hem should sit neatly at your waist or hips.
For more tailored or slim-fit styles, the sweater should gently hug your body without pulling across the chest or arms. For relaxed or oversized styles, the fit will be roomier but still proportionate, with clean lines that don’t overwhelm your frame.
Should sweaters be tight or loose?
A sweater can be either tight or loose depending on the style and how you like to wear it. Some sweaters are designed for a closer, more fitted silhouette, while others are meant to have a relaxed or oversized look. A slim-fit sweater should skim the body without feeling restrictive. A looser style should drape comfortably without looking too bulky.
If you're layering over shirts or under jackets, you may want a bit more room. If you're going for a sleeker look, a fitted style might be the way to go.
Should sweaters be washed inside out?
Turning your sweater inside out before washing is a smart way to help preserve the fabric. Washing inside out can reduce friction on the outer surface, which helps prevent pilling and keeps the texture and color looking fresh longer.
This tip is especially useful for sweaters made from delicate yarns or with special finishes. Whether you're hand washing or using a gentle cycle, always check the care label first and use cold water with a mild detergent.
