PERFECTION in a jean!
"I purchased the the Joplin Off-duty Flare Jean in Pale Stone. I don't live near a VB store, so I rely on the advice of my amazing stylist at VB on Madison Ave, who told me that they have a close fit, but are very popular. I went one size up to a medium in case they were too tight. They are now my favorite jeans of all time! They are very comfortable, the fit follows the curves of the body and is incredibly flattering, and the 32" length is perfect for my VB Chelsea Boot/Clogs. There's enough give that I'm confident my usual size won't be too tight, so my stylist is sending me another pair in Pale Stone in small. I'm also getting them in Bright Blue, and if VB decides to make them in another color (hint, hint), I'll get those, too. VB uses such exceptional materials: the denim is substantial but not too thick, and the stretch is just enough to hold you in, but allow you to move with ease. I can do squats and lunges in them! The elastic in the waist is so well attached and concealed that you cannot tell it's there. I have never had an elastic waistband that breathes so well on the body, that has exactly the right stretch, and is exactly the right width. VB needs to give lessons to other designers who have elastic waists in their pants. I have bought upscale brands with elastic that doesn’t have enough stretch, is not wide enough, digs into you after you wear it for a while, and gets twisted and flops over. Even companies that should know better have those problems with their elastic waistbands. Not this elastic waist! I swear, the Veronicas are geniuses. They know women's bodies, they know how to flatter us, and they know how to design clothes that are practical, wearable, but so stylish that they elevater our everyday lives."
