What inspired you to start your own business?

Candice: We craved spending more time together.Growing up, we were best friends and did absolutely everything together, and then adult life happened and between thehusbands and children, the life you create makes it impossible to spend the same quality time together.We knew whatever we were going to do, we were going to be partners and it would allow us to productively be together on a daily basis.We both were born and raised in NYC and felt like we were notoriously the experts on all the best resources out there, so it was natural for us to start this life and style website to help women, especially Mamas, navigate through this city!

Jenna: Starting a business was inspired by what is most important to me—family. When I became pregnant, which was my most exciting and happiest surprise, I was curious about so many aspects of motherhood. I had so many unanswered questions about nursing, sleep training, baby clothing, baby products, educational development, and the list goes on. I have always enjoyed exploring and researching my endless curiosities, and I knew so many new mothers would have my same questions, and I wanted to be their resource as well. I wanted our highly-curated platform to be a trusted place for advice and to provide our audience with open access to our sisterly bond and exchange that has been invaluable to me as I become a new mom.

Running a business with my sister is like…

Candice: The best decision I have ever made!It's exactly like when we were kids, we agree, we disagree, but in the end we always communicate and end up on the same page.

Jenna: A dream where I get to collaborate and brainstorm ideas with my best friend on daily basis.

Best advice you’ve ever received:

Candice: Live from love, not from fear.
Jenna: Always focus on the positives in life, have belief and confidence in yourself and give your all.

One thing Jenna taught me about style:

Jenna taught me how to look great wearing relaxed, casual, comfortable clothing.She never sacrifices comfort for beauty.Jenna always has the chicest sneakers and sweats, and makes casual appear a bit fancy!

One thing Candice taught me about style:

Candice taught me how to accessorize an outfit. She always finds the best vintage necklaces orearrings to give any outfit a pop and make it interesting.

Your number one tip for a new mom:

Candice: Do not feel guilty devoting some time to yourself everyday!A happy mom is the best mom!

Jenna: Don't overbuy prior to becoming a mom, get the essentials but then try out the products and see what works for you and your baby. Also, my other piece of advice is that all babies move at different paces so don't get hung up on comparisons. My baby slept consistently through the night at almost four months, but every baby is different.

How do you balance family life with work?

Candice: I sort of mix the two! I found that the only way for me to really enjoy what I am doing in business, is if I include my children, so it's a true labor of love. We get to go around researching all the best new activities, restaurants, shops, farms, etc and it's exciting for all of us. On days when they are in school, and I have to shoot without them, I feel like something is missing. At 5PM everyday I make sure to turn my phone off, sit for dinner and have true family time for the evening with no interruptions.

Jenna: I balance work and family by working during naps and at night when my baby is asleep for the night. I try to work around my baby's sleep schedule so I maximize my time with him. since he is so young and I am a new mom, I don't want to miss out on any time with him!

Who would play the two of you in a movie?

Candice: You've stumped me! I guess the sisters in knocked up!? One is understated, practical and more low key, while the other is a hilariously vocal mom of 2, and fighting to stay a young, hot babe!
