Travel Guide
LondonWhen in London, do as the Londoners do… At our recent VB x L'Etoile Sport garden party at Eaton Square, we asked guest Sarah Corbett-Winder for all her favorite spots around the city—where to go, what to see and how to discover the local hidden gems. Here's what the stylist and personal shopper had to say—and for a behind-the-scenes look at that sun-kissed tennis event, keep scrolling.
STAY
Chiltern Firehouse for a special treat or I love the Living Rooms for a cool and interesting stay—there is always something a bit different.
EAT & DRINK
SHOP
Notting Hill. Portobello market—great for picking up some amazing one-off vintage pieces; I love the atmosphere too. Westbourne Grove—Sezane, Sandro and the vintage shops around Notting Hill tube. And, of course, Bruton Street for the best store in London—VB!
DO
Ride the Thames Clipper to really take in the sites. Rent a bike. Make an early morning visit to Kempton Market—it’s worth it! Or an early morning visit to Chelsea Flower market. Take a trip to Chiswick for antique shops, have a stroll in Hampstead Heath, ideally with a pooch, followed by a dip in the lido. Have a really long bath—so English! And smile lots.
SEE
I always think art is a must—Royal Academy and National Portrait Gallery are my favourites. The Conran Shop is always so inspiring. The ballet or opera if you can. And, of course, visit the Queen at Buckingham Palace.
