Style Tips

Georgetown's Anchyi Wei

DEBUG: cgb/block-vb-two-column

Get to know Anchyi Wei, our co-host at Veronica Miele Beard's Georgetown Takeover this week and ultimate DC insider—or as she's also known, Mrs. Capitol Hill.

SHOP THE LOOKS, from top:

Satori Eyelet Maxi Dress: Add a belt and throw on some easy flats to complete the chic summer look. Or dress it up with a pair of heeled sandals, like the Galoma style I'm wearing here.

Miller Dickey Jacket & Abanu Floral Dress: I was instantly attracted to the beautiful color of the blazer, and thought it would add a nice pop to the floral mini dress (which just screams summer to me)

Georgetown Closet Heroes

Traditionally, Georgetown DC tends to be on the preppier side—a great blazer, like in seersucker, is a staple. Items from Veronica Beard are actually perfect for Georgetown, from floral dresses to chambray shirts with an unexpected twist.

Top 3 Must-Visit Only-in-the-Know Georgetown Spots
1. There's a spot right above the Key Bridge Boathouse that has a great view of the Potomac River and lots of graffiti for a photo op. You can get to it from climbing up a set of stone staircase off Water Street. The cliff is not gated, so don't take kids up there!
2. Reverie is a Michelin Plate restaurant that has a very under-the-radar vibe. The first time we tried to go, we couldn't find the entrance right away!
3. Another spot well known to locals but perhaps not to out-of-towners is the Exorcist Stairs—it's where the final scene between the priest and the demon was shot for the horror film.
