Ok, what jeans are in? Skinny? Wide-leg? Both?
Veronica Miele Beard: If the jeans fit well, it’s all that matters!! Legs & rear end!!
Veronica Swanson Beard: Wide leg, super flare, vintage straight, rigid, or cropped are my personal favorites but whatever you feel most comfortable in is the most important. 

Favorite beach read? 
VSB: Just finished The Last Thing He Told Me, just started Malibu Rising, and I love all Elin Hildebrand books—she’s the queen of the beach read and they all take place on Nantucket which I love. 
VMB: I don’t usually read on the beach, I can’t sit still that long, lol.

What’s the must-have piece for fall? 
VMB: The India coat!
VSB: The Faustine jacket with jeans and a great blouse

Fave dish to bring to a summer potluck? 
VSB: Dessert! Usually key lime or peach pie from Bartlett Farm
VMB: Mozzarella from my favorite deli in Staten Island with Jersey tomatoes & corn!

Labor Day plans? Traditions? 
VMB: Family time & a bonfire on the beach
VSB: Try to eke out the last minutes of summer while not having an anxiety attack over back to school and fashion week all at the same time.

Do you have pets? 
VSB: 4 dogs—3 black labs and a 16-year-old Dachshund
VMB: Charcoal the English black lab

What’s your go-to restaurant in NYC for date night? 
VMB: Altesi
VSB: Il Cantinori

What inspired the tabletop collection? 
VSB: I love interiors and home as much as I love fashion and if we hadn’t started VB that’s probably what I’d be doing now. Your home is the ultimate extension of you. You learn everything about someone when you visit them at home—their interior style speaks volumes. I learned everything about entertaining and tablescapes from my mom who is the master. I collect China, linens, glassware, napkin rings the same way I collect accessories and shoes. Eventually, I hope VB home will be a full collection.
VMB: A love for entertaining and home design. Like getting dressed but for your table!!

Favorite Olympic event to watch? 
VSB: Gymnastics
VMB: Basketball & gymnastics! Volleyball!!

Favorite summer lipstick? Brand and color, please!
