Best Pant Ever
"I rarely write reviews, but I wanted to write a review on this pant to make sure the VB design team hears me loud and clear when I say THANK YOU THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR! I am a lawyer, and I need a couple nice suits in the rotation. I also love VB. I own several blazers that I wear with jeans for the office and more casual client interactions, but I have a real need for suits, and VB never carried anything that really worked -- until now. This suit is absolutely amazing. I have bought it in both colors. Note, the material is the same material used in the classic Miller Dickey jackets in black/navy, so if you have one of those jackets (which I do), you can purchase these pants and now have a suit. On the pants. These are everything. The material is thick and forgiving. They are long (I am 5'8" and needed to alter the length for 3/4" flats). If you are big in the hip (which I am) the material really meets your body and does not push and pull against you -- no lines across the hip. Note: As I always need to, I had to take in the waist because I purchased a size big enough to fit my hip. So what that means is, this pant will work on many body types, but you may need to alter depending on your body. (But at this price point you should be buying a suit to fit your largest measurement and tailoring the rest to get that perfect fit. ) VB makes up for this because the jackets fit me like a glove with no alterations needed ever. If the VB design team is reading this, belt loops would make this absolutely perfect. But in their current form these pants are darn close to perfection. Also, I would love to see a single button jacket in this material to match these pants so there are a couple different suiting combinations you can achieve with different looks, both single- and double-breasted. I also find single-breasted to be a bit more formal/traditional so better for interviews and more conservative lines of work (lawyers, bankers, etc. ). Bottom line: Please do not ever stop making suiting in this material and in black and navy. This suit is a versatile unicorn because you can pair the jacket with jeans or pants in addition to the matching suit pants, giving you more bang for your buck than any other suiting out there. And it is nice enough to wear in formal settings. Love it."
