The Chief of Staff supports the President with ongoing strategic initiatives at Veronica Beard.  The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and operational capabilities and will be a trusted partner for other membership of the leadership team.  The role requires a self-motivated, highly resourceful individual with strong analytical and project management skills.  The position is based in our NYC corporate office.


  • Assist the President in strategic project planning, execution, and monitoring, reporting priorities and objectives. Track open items and due dates, work with main stakeholders to determine status and helping to ensure the achievement of the objectives/projects
  • Help in coordinating organization wide process and work with departments to improve existing protocol for maximum clarity and efficiency
  • Prepare materials and presentations for the board and investors
  • Create presentations (board decks, Town Hall, recaps) for the President – collect and analyze data from department heads
  • Help create objectives for and manage the operating cadence of executive team meetings - facilitate effective discussion and manage action items resulting from meetings
  • Create and manage cross functional project plans for top priority company projects
  • Ensure alignment among internal and/or external stakeholders
  • Prepare the President for high level external and internal meetings
  • Work directly with the President and the leadership team to define and track against company-wide priorities as well as quarterly and annual company KPIs
  • Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with employees at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment
  • Be a strategic advisor and confidant to the President, acting as a thought partner on a diverse set of functional areas of the business
  • Support the President in leading change management and process improvement initiatives, ensuring proper communication flow to all levels of the organization as needed by topic
  • Spearhead new growth and expansion opportunities and special projects


    • MBA or experience within a related field
    • 7+ years mid-level experience
    • 3+ years of experience in management consulting or working at a high growth company preferred
    • An entrepreneurial mindset and ability to creatively problem solve
    • Experience working directly with C-suite and VP-level executives in a high growth startup environment
    • Strong organizational and planning skills
    • Strong conceptual and analytical skills
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Trustworthy, honest, collaborative and goal-oriented
    • Proven track record of effectively interacting with senior management
    • Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments
    • Passion and knowledge of Fashion
    • Strong Microsoft Office and presentation skills
    • Excellent communication skills
