When it came to opening up our first store, it was all about location. We couldn’t imagine a better address than the corner of East 77th Street and Madison Avenue. (VSB had her very first NYC apartment across the street from our storefront and it’s a neighborhood that VMB calls home now.) There’s a lot to love on the Upper East Side (besides our store!) and we can’t wait to be in the neighborhood. Here are some of our favorite haunts.

For coffee, brunch, gelato, cocktails and everything in between, we spend a lot of time tucked into a booth at Sant Ambroeus. One block north of the store, pick up a coffee before our doors open.
1000 Madison Avenue
This iconic bar is the perfect way to end a day spent on the Upper East Side. Full of those old New York vibes, you’ll be instantly transported by the Art Deco furniture and jazz music. Make sure you also check out all of the Harry Benson photographs around the Carlyle!
35 East 76th Street
Shop, then sweat. Our upstairs neighbor will whip you into shape with a barre class. Best followed up with a massage.

Three Guys Diner
A classic all-day diner that promises to have something for the entire family.

If you only buy one pair of shoes here, make it the over-the-knee Giselle Boots (as seen in our fall lookbook)!

Every beauty product you’ll ever need from all the brands you love (including Bluemercury’s own lines, M-61 and Lune+Aster), housed under one roof. If you have some extra time, schedule a spa appointment!

Our friend Eleanor co-owns this gallery just up the street from our store. The current exhibition, Postwar New York: Capital of Avant-Garde, is a collection of work from artists James Rosenquist, Hans Hoffman, and Claes Oldenburg.
18 East 79th Street
Friendship bracelets, cool charms and a pink couch. If you’re in the mood for jewelry, head over to Aurélie Bidermann.
957 Madison Avenue
Mille crepes. Need we say more?
41 East 78th Street
While the Met is super close to the store, we love the museums newest outpost, The Met Breuer for modern and contemporary art.
