We break down all the need-to-know trends, from plaid patterns to alluring jewel tones. Consider this your early cheat sheet on what's to come for fall…
Unexpected Layering
The season's big story? It's all about the mix and layering key motifs, like men's wear patterns and animal prints, to eclectic yet chic effect. Color-on-color is great—but so is pattern-on-pattern. Be bold.
Leopard Love
If it was up to us, leopard would be a year-round trend. So we're excited that animal prints continue to go strong for fall. But here's a novel take: In keeping with the season's outdoorsy vibe, why not try on a sporty sherpa jacket cast in those glamorous spots?
Mad for Plaid (Again & Again)
Haberdashery patterns are ruling the runways, from houndstooth to herringbone. But prime among those are plaids, in all shapes, colors and styles. We've even designed posh plaids covered in glimmering rhinestones—see below—for a luxe and ultra-femme POV on the men's wear classic.
Park Avenue meets the Adirondacks
We celebrated the contrast between the opulence and the outdoors and created a uniform of velvet and floral dresses—in beautiful jewel tones—set against utilitarian jumpsuits and sporty puffers.
It's high-low, féminin-masculin… Vive la différence!
The Outer Limits
This is a season of amazing and incredible outerwear, from laminated quilted ponchos to faux mink bombers. So bundle up. Cold comfort has never looked so good.
Statement Turtlenecks
Yes, you read that right. Turtlenecks are a trend for fall, but we've taken the look from humdrum to haute with sparkling and allover sequin styles. Plus, they're an elegant way to play up the layering trend: Worn beneath a floral or tweed dress, they add just the perfect amount of cool frisson.
