The After-Party
We couldn't celebrate turning the big 1-0 without throwing a party—so we did just that once the final models stepped off the runway. Cue the lights dimming down and DJ Pamela Tick, who hit the turntables to get the anniversary fête started. Pinch Food Design sent out celebratory hors d'oeuvres—delicious mini steak frites and chilled square herb soufflés—as well as the cocktails of the hour, a special pour-over margarita. Our favorite treat of the night, however? An arty take on the Jell-O shots of our youth, equal parts libations and good eats (get the recipe below). Rounding out the festivities: a fun aura photo booth and custom portraits by artist Katherine Moffett. 🎉
Recipe: Cube Jell-O Shots
Serves 12 shots
Ingredients
1 package of Jell-O (3 oz pack)
1 cup of boiling water
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup vodka
1 package of Jell-O (3 oz pack)
1 cup of boiling water
1/2 cup cold water
1/2 cup vodka
Directions
Mix cold water and vodka and chill in refrigerator.
Pour Jell-O into a bowl.
Add boiling water, stirring until Jell-O is completely dissolved.
Stir in chilled water and vodka mix.
Pour into sheet pan and refrigerate until liquid sets.
Cut into small squares and serve cold.
