Meet the Veronicas

Veronica Swanson Beard and Veronica Miele Beard, designers of Veronica Beard.

We're sisters-in-law who are married to brothers, but it was a true friendship and a love for fashion that brought us together. After leaving our careers in finance and fashion to raise our kids (we have eight children between us!), we found ourselves at family gatherings talking about our new favorite designers, must-have piece and styling tricks. We both quickly realized there was a void in the market for clothing that you could live in, so we set out to change that.

The biggest inspiration came from the genius of menswear and the ease of having a uniform. Everyday men would throw on a suit and be out the door – they didn’t have to think about it. We started talking about what would make up our uniform and it was simple: a classic jacket, a chic top and a cool pair of jeans. When we launched in 2010 we focused on perfecting the jacket and from there started creating the pieces that we were on the hunt for. The Veronica Beard uniform was bred out of necessity and is a must-have for every woman's wardrobe.

Our Dickey Jacket

We launched our collection with the Dickey Jacket in 2010. With five silhouettes, from our best-selling Classic Jacket to our travel-ready Scuba Jacket, our styles are designed to work with our collection of dickeys.

Our dickeys are the easiest way to transform your look. Simply zip it in at the lapel and button it in place at the collar. Whether you want a casual look (our Hoodie dickey is an essential) or a luxe layer (try the leather Moto dickey), the options are endless.

Our Denim

When we couldn’t find the perfect pair of denim, we created our own. Flattering pocket placement, super comfortable stretch fabric that holds its shape and three classic silhouettes combine for a collection you’ll live in.

Our Tops

There is nothing more versatile than a silk blouse, which is why they are a staple in our collection every season. Two of our signature styles, the tunic and the patch pocket blouse, will work with everything in your closet.

  1. Shoulders: measured from shoulder blade to shoulder blade
  2. Bust: circumference measured at the fullest part of the chest
  3. Waist: circumference measured at the smallest part of the waist
  4. Hip: circumference measured at the fullest part of the hips (or 8” down from the waist)
  5. Sleeve length: measured from the center of the back of the neck to the wrist
  6. Inseam: measured from the top of inside the leg to the ankle
