Candice Huffine on Clichés & the word "Cute"

Here at VB, we heart Candice Huffine. We love her energy and good vibes and the fact that—in addition to being a top model, seen on our runways and campaigns—she's a power entrepreneur. In 2017, she founded DAY/WON, a size-inclusive activewear collection inspired by her own love of marathon running. Get to know the latter-day Renaissance woman here.

What’s your personal style?
Leopard—that’s a style now. It’s a style, a color, a lifestyle, a mood… it’s everything.

First fashion obsession?
Purses! Cliché.

One accessory you can’t live without?
A leather jacket.

Beauty must-have?
A great eyebrow gel.

Health/wellness must-have?
A pair of running shoes because you can just hit the road anywhere, get a little sweat in and feel good.

How do you recharge?
I recharge by resting and saying NO. We fill our plates with way too much, because we want to be everything for everybody. Just learn to say no, stand in that truth and just chill out.

Word or phrase you must overuse?
"Cute, right?" I just always ask if everything’s cute. “Cute? This is cute, right? Cute? Cute.”

What makes you feel good?
Being happy, being content, and making other people feel good. It kind of bounces back in a really beautiful way. [When] we’re all sort of uplifting and empowering each other, you have a sense of pride.

What do you love to do?
Have a good time! Why not, right? We only live once.
