The best part about being a mom…
VSB: Watching your kids grow into amazing humans.
VMB: When they genuinely say they appreciate and love you—the best feeling in the world!
The rule my kids are always breaking…
VSB: Well, for my one in high school, its their curfew.
VMB: My kids are not allowed to eat in front of the TV and they do it anyway and sneak it. I find stuff under the sofa all the time.
I bribe my kids with…
VSB: Freedom.
VMB: One word: Pinkberry. My kids are all food-based. They're so into dessert. If I even say the word Pinkberry, everybody comes home. It's the easiest bribery word: Pinkberry.
If my kids had it their way, they would eat blank every night…
VSB: My husband's barbecue or Chick-fil-A.
VMB: My kids are good eaters. I mean, Helaina wants sushi all the time. They have caviar taste!
The most embarrassing thing I do as a parent…
VMB: My boys are like, could you just wear sweats one day? They think I'm outrageous.
VSB: I'm strict, but I'm also super lovey. I’m the mom who grabs the kids and is kissing them in front of all their friends. It embarrasses them but I live for it.
The toughest part about raising a teenager is…
VMB: The hardest part for me is allowing them to fail. Because as a parent you want to stop it and fix it but half of life's lessons are learned through failure.
VSB: I think the toughest part about raising a teenager is giving them room to grow up and also just wanting them to stay little forever. It's incredible watching them become these amazing people. Every day there’s a new part of them that's revealed and I love it.
