The Role:
Veronica Beard's Data Team is seeking a Junior BI Analyst to join our growing team. As the 5th member of the Data Team, you will report to the Director of Data and collaborate closely with the Analytics Engineers and a Senior Data Scientist.
In this role, you will work with a diverse range of business stakeholders from various departments including Ecommerce, Retail, Planning & Buying, CRM, Wholesale, Operations, Finance, Merchandising, and Marketing.
Responsibilities:
Improve data reporting company-wide:- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data analysis needs and goals.
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders, providing clear visualizations and explanations of findings.
- Use BI tool and data analytics software to analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Provide continuous support to business stakeholders by answering ad-hoc questions and offering guidance on making the most out of the BI tools for their specific needs.
- Continuously learn and stay updated with industry trends, BI tools, and data analysis techniques.
- Lead the onboarding process of new team members by providing training and support on BI tool and data analysis methodologies used within the organization.
- Prepare and maintain up-to-date documentation and guides on data analysis processes (i.e data collection, data cleaning & preparation, EDA, etc.) and BI tool functionalities for easy reference by new hires.
- Run internal workshops, training and 'lunch and learn' sessions to both share and enhance knowledge of BI tool, data analysis techniques (i.e trend analysis, comparative analysis, etc.), and best practices.
- Tailor the BI tool's functionalities to meet business stakeholders’ requirements more effectively, enhancing user satisfaction and engagement.
- Establish a feedback loop with both internal team members and business stakeholders to gather insights on the BI tool's usage, challenges encountered, and suggestions for improvement.
- Analyze feedback to recommend enhancements in BI tool functionalities, reporting accuracy, and data visualization effectiveness, contributing to the continuous improvement of data-driven strategies within the organization.
- Collaborate with Analytics Engineers to support the development and implementation of data models according to business requirements.
- Collaborate with Senior Data Scientist to support with daily operations tasks.
- Help ensure data integrity by championing Data Observability tool and supporting data discrepancy troubleshooting.
- Help ensure data compliance with data privacy regulations and company policies.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience creating dashboards and reports using BI/Visualization tools (Sigma Computing experience is a plus).
- Proficiency in SQL (Bonus: Python).
- Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheet.
- Ability to work on cross-functional projects and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Basic knowledge of retail industry and/or direct-to-consumer KPIs and metrics.
- Knowledge of the Principles of Good Visualization.
- Understanding of key data engineering concepts, such as data modeling, data warehousing, ELT, and Kimball methodology.

The salary range for this role is between $65,000 and $75,000. The relevant salary range will vary depending on wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, degrees, and certifications.
