Miami, we’re back! Today, we’re opening the doors of our new flagship in the heart of the Design District. Here, we spoke with resident VB interior designer Carolina de Neufville to get the behind-the-scenes scoop on 3914 NE 1st Avenue. Read on for all the details...
THE VIBE
The new boutique is an eclectic mix, reflecting the distinct character of the Design District. “This is one of our favorite places, with an energy unlike any other,” VMB says. “We love how the community gathers in the Design District—the neighborhood is so creative, filled with great art, architecture and restaurants…”
THE ENTRANCE
You are greeted by a warm, light-filled space. Whitewashed raffia, canvas palm trees and a custom teal-and-blush terrazzo tile nod to South Beach’s art deco history. A mixture of rattan, Venetian plaster and brass touches further capture Miami’s sleek spirit. “We design every store to be unique and reflect the energy and vibe of the women who live there,” VSB says. “The store is vibrant like the customers we know and love there.”
THE DETAILS
A Seventies-era split-reed bamboo seating area anchors the ground floor. The set was sourced from ShowPony, a Floridian antiques and objet dealer. Whimsical straw pendants draw you to the second floor where you discover a sunlit oasis, filled with oversized fan chairs and a vintage McGuire table. Oversized tropical canvases give the space a cohesive feel and create a serene backdrop for the collection.
