Beautiful dress but sleeves too long

"This dress was even more beautiful than in the photos. It was true to size and despite one reviewer mentioning the length being scandalous, I found it flattering and not too short (I’m 51yo and 5’5”). The sleeves were too long—could barely see my fingertips, and they were large/gappy where they attach to the body of the dress. They seemed a bit out of proportion—the arm width and length—for the rest of the dress, which fit well. I reluctantly returned it because I didn’t want to hassle with alterations, but it’s such a beautiful dress that I’ll be debating that choice for a while."
