WHAT:

The Super Elixir by Welleco

The influence of the supermodel runs deep…

I decided to try Elle Macpherson's Super Elixir by Welleco, hoping that some of "the body" would rub off on me! Elle says to mix the green powder in the morning with water or coconut water. There’s also a chocolate powder for a snack later in the day or for a meal replacement.

HOW OFTEN YOU USE IT & WOULD YOU RECOMMEND IT AND WHY?

Everyday! So far, I'm a week in, feeling great and loving it!
The benefits of Super Elixir are to fast track a person's wellbeing by alkalising greens, which can help the body change from acidic to alkaline.

WOULD YOU RECOMMEND… AND WHY?

WHAT:

AKT in Motion

A cardio dance and interval training class. According to the AKT team, their studio“is a fad-free zone dedicated not just to fitness, but to lifestyle: a full-spectrum, amenity-rich, and community-minded mecca for movement, and the place is filling up—fast.”

HOW OFTEN DO YOU DO IT?

I aim for 4 classes which means 3 and then I "practice" once a week by myself at home. I’ve been at it since 2010!

WOULD YOU RECOMMEND IT AND WHY?

YES! If you love music, want results and more energy this is the answer. I leave on such a high! AKT choreography challenges your brain while the fast paced cardio mixed in with strength work tests your endurance. So it works. But mainly it's a blast.

WHAT:

Transcendental Meditation with Guru Betty

I actually just started a few weeks ago and it changed my life. Betty was instructed in the technique of meditation at age 19. For Betty, “This was a conscious existential experience, the likes of which she never before experienced.” She was left speechless by this extraordinary happening, as was I!

HOW OFTEN DO YOU DO IT?

I went to a 4-day private course that teaches you the gift of meditation. Now I’m already meditating once or twice a day on my own.

WOULD YOU RECOMMEND IT AND WHY?

I would 100% recommend it to anyone, it's an amazing tool that relaxes and centers you and there are so many studies done on numerous benefits it can have on your body as well.

WHAT:

The I.V. Doc

The I.V. Doc sends someone to your home, office, wherever… to administer a hydration therapy of your choice.
A friend had done this before and highly recommended I try it, so when I was feeling super run down during the holiday madness and didn’t want to get sick, I booked an appointment! A very sweet registered nurse came to my apartment, who made me feel at ease right from the start.

I asked for a “Cleanse” treatment and added on the Vitamin B Complex and a Vitamin C shot for good measure. It was quick and relatively painless (minus the needle) and I really believe it saved me from feeling completely wiped by the time Christmas Eve arrived.

HOW OFTEN YOU GO:

I’ve only done it once but I am totally hooked… I plan on doing this every month.

WOULD YOU RECOMMEND… AND WHY?:

If you need a quick hydration fix, some vitamins, even a flu shot…. This treatment is for you – it’s very convenient, plus, you know your body is getting the supplements because it’s going right into your blood stream. I know it sounds crazy but I actually think this will become the norm for us all one day!
