Our new limited-edition I Love NY dickey jacket is a love letter to all of New York state—not just our hometown of Manhattan. Here are a few of our other favorite places to visit, for everything from quiet country escapes to, yes, trapeze school.

Adirondacks

Why We ❤️ It: Because even the most die-heard city girls—us included—need a good dose of the Great Outdoors every now and then. And with stunning mountain and lakeside views, hiking trails galore and charming campgrounds and restaurants, the Adirondacks have it all.

To-Do: Have an outdoor adventure—climb mountain peaks, kayak and canoe, hike… Hit the Great Camps of the Gilded Age: Pine Knots, Uncas, Sagamore. Enjoy an outdoor picnic at the park by High Falls Gorge. Get an adrenaline rush and zip line through the Adirondack Extreme Adventure Course by Lake George. Grab a slice of strawberry-rhubarb crumb pie at the Noon Mark Diner. And then get a bird's eye view of it all at the Wild Center's Wild Walk treetop trail.

Long Island

Why We ❤️ It: Whatever your vacation speed, Long Island has got it—vineyards, beaches, art, water parks, ranches, golf and more. And trapeze school, too.

To-Do: Soak up the last bit of summer sun at any of the Hamptons' A+ beaches. Bring the kids to the Long Island Aquarium—gators, penguins and sharks, oh my! Visit one of 60+ award-winning wineries. Get your zen on at Shou Sugi Ban House, a Japanese-inspired wellness retreat. Snap a 'gram outside the Montauk Lighthouse, a national historic landmark. Go pumpkin picking at Harbes Family Farm (bonus: hayrides!). Satisfy your need for speed at the Mammoth River slide at Splish Splash water park. Tap into your inner Cirque du Soleil at I.Fly Trapeze school. Get your shop on at Americana Manhasset—and, of course, don't forget to visit Veronica Beard there!

Niagara Falls

Why We ❤️ It: Two words: Niagara Falls. Need we say more?

To-Do: Book a ride on the Maid of the Mist and sail right up to the majestic waterfall. Or go for the high-octane version with a Whirlpool Jet Boat tour of the Niagara River rapids. Enjoy the view—and good eats—at the Top of the Falls Restaurant. Ride on a real steam locomotive at Arcade and Attica Railroad (fall foliage in October, Santa train ride in December). Grab a bottle of Vidal Blanc Ice Wine—local wine made from actual frozen grapes. Visit Frank Lloyd Wright's famous Darwin D. Martin House. And let your inner child out at the Jell-O Gallery Museum.
