The Society of MSK
#VBGIVESBACK Day
On May 25, we hosted a great#VBGIVESBACK Day in celebration of our partnership with Gillian Hearst and The Society of MSK. All day long, 10% of the day's in-store sales benefitted the nonprofit and pediatric cancer care, education and research—and that's on top of what we've contributed for each veronicabeard.com order since April 1. Thank you to everyone who joined! Check out all the action and meet the hosts below.

What's the significance of giving back for you?
Austen Cruz: Giving back is about being grateful for all that I have and looking for ways to pay it forward. It is about finding ways to help someone who is going through a difficult time. It is about making the future brighter.
Candice Postel: It's simple and goes back to the old saying, "It is better to give than receive." It gives me the opportunity to engage in a positive manner with the community and is truly chicken soup for the soul.
Kate Allen: Several members of my family were touched by cancer and treated at MSK, so I am extremely passionate about the cause. I love that the hospital is renowned in the fields of patient care and cancer research and has helped so many people, including those close to me.
Shabnam Henry: It allows me to feel like I am contributing to and one with my community.

What do you love about MSK?
Austen Cruz: I love that MSK took care of my dad when he was ill. I love that MSK does more than just treat the patient—they look for ways to support the entire family. I love that MSK gives people hope of a better tomorrow for their loved ones.
Candice Postel: There are many things I love about MSK, but I have to say the level of commitment the doctors and nurses have to their patients is on another level. They are more than a cancer research hospital; they really care about the patients, saving lives every day.
Kate Allen: My biggest goal is right in line with The Society’s mission: to provide the most support possible to MSK, in the way of assisting with patient care, educating people on cancer, and raising significant dollars toward cancer research.
Shabnam Henry: MSK stands for excellence on cancer care. I love the dedication of all the doctors and researchers at MSK.

What's the significance of giving back for you?
Amory McAndrew: Giving back is uplifting. The collaborative effort of women, especially those on the MSK Associates Committee, coming together and working towards the common goal of helping others is powerful.
Jessica Sailer: Giving back to MSK is a way that I can show how truly grateful I am for the support and care they gave to someone near and dear to me, who was dealing with cancer.
Sara Gilbane Sullivan: Being a part of MSK allows me to work closely with a group of like-minded people who care about giving back and making a difference. Hearing doctors speak about research projects and treatments they are working on and working with The Society on projects to raise funds for children with cancer has been very meaningful to me. My husband lost his mother too early to breast cancer and we miss her every day. Giving back and being part of a good cause is very nourishing and helps you remember the important things in life.

What do you love about MSK?
Amory McAndrew: MSK represents hope. The brilliant doctors and researchers at MSK are striving to develop innovative treatment and care to give hope to patients and their loved ones.
Jessica Sailer: It's a place of hope for people in a time of absolute fear, uncertainty and complete vulnerability. It is a place that is driving science forward with the wellbeing of the whole patient in mind, and I love that the people who work there have completely and selflessly dedicated themselves to saving the lives of others.
