The Role: 

The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for assisting in strategizing, creating, and executing projects and programs that drive growth and profitability in our stores. This position will continue to develop effective communication, workload planning and project management to achieve operational excellence across stores.  This role is based out of our New York Corporate office and reports to the Senior Retail Operations Manager. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Partner cross functionally to support the streamlining of retail communications between the corporate office and retail stores
    • Send formatted communication twice weekly
  • Manage inventory movement, discrepancies, and reconciliations
  • Perform routine store audits both in person and virtual  
  • Mange the creation and implementation of standard operations procedures (SOPs)
  • Assist the new store opening process by managing vendor relationships and account setup, supply, and technology orders
  • Manage policy and procedure to ensure updates are maintained and communicated
  • Escalate day to day technology issues in stores
  • Develop training guides for stores
  • Evaluate operations in stores on a regular basis to make process improvements or simplification recommendations to reduce workload and ensure standards are met
  • Oversee stores supplies including rolling projections and monthly supply orders
  • Own all store related production issues and requests
  • Manage and execute all R&M requests from store staff
  • Organize and format monthly recaps and newsletter
  • Create store directives and contest posters
  • Assist with physical inventories one – two times per year
  • Partner with Area and Visual Managers to determine retail store personals allotment
  • Organize team workshops inclusive of General Managers Conference and various retail functions

 

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in excel and power point
  • Communicates effectively and professionally
  • Self-starter, team oriented and creative thinker
  • Ability to multitask
  • POS experience a plus
